Sheet metal processing is based on the processing of metal sheets to obtain the desired appearance, which mainly involves the processing of sheet metal chassis, sheet metal server cabinets, and various mechanical equipment internal structures and shell sheet metal parts. Many devices in daily life are processed in that way, such as bank registration machines, automatic teller machines, street vending machines, computer and monitor boxes, etc., which are made from sheet metal processing. At the same time, in order to consider the practicality of the product, the main types of plates used in sheet metal processing are as follows:
1. Plain Cold Rolled Steel Plate (SPCC)
Ordinary cold rolled steel plate is a thick steel plate, pipe or sheet material that is continuously cold rolled into a specified wall thickness by a cold rolling mill. The surface layer does not have safety protection and is very prone to oxidation and corrosion. Therefore, safety protection measures such as spraying and electroplating processes should be taken before application.
2. Galvanized steel plate
One type is electro galvanized steel plate (SECC), which is made of thick steel plate through degreasing, acid pickling and passivation, electroplating processes, and various post-treatment processes. It has processability, excellent corrosion resistance, and decorative art appearance. Electrogalvanized steel plate is widely used for processing computer sheet metal chassis.
Another type is hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC), which refers to the processing of semi-finished products after hot stamping, pickling, passivation or cold rolling. After cleaning and quenching, the steel sheet is infiltrated into a melting zinc bath with an ambient temperature of about 460 ° C, and then coated with a zinc layer. It is then aged, leveled, and chemically processed. SGCC raw materials are harder than SECC materials, with poor plasticity (to prevent deep drawing design scheme), thicker zinc layer and poor arc welding ability.
3. Stainless steel
Stainless steel plates have excellent physical properties, and stainless steel with different compositions can achieve different characteristics, making them widely used in the field of sheet metal processing.
